Oh Nuts vehicle Repair Terms of Service.

1. Introduction

We're excited to work with you. These terms and conditions apply to all contracts between Oh Nuts and its customers for the provision of vehicle repair services.

2. Our Obligations

We promise to take good care of your vehicle. We will carry out the work specified in your instruction with reasonable care and skill. We'll also ensure that all parts supplied by us are of satisfactory quality and fit for their purpose.

3. Fuel levels and charge of Electric/hybrid vehicles

Please ensure your vehicle has adequate fuel/charge when dropping it off for repair. We reserve the right to refuel vehicles when necessary; this will be invoiced accordingly.

We do not accept the responsibility for returning vehicles with sufficient fuel/charge for onward journeys.

4. Payment and collection of vehicles

We will provide an estimate of charges before starting work on your vehicle. Charges will be calculated based on the time spent carrying out the work and the cost of any parts used. Invoices must be paid in full before collecting your vehicle, and vehicles must be collected within seven days of completion. A storage fee of £2.00 per day will be charged for vehicles not collected within seven days.

5. Liability

We'll take responsibility for any damage caused to your vehicle because of our negligence. However, we won't be liable for any other losses or damage suffered by you.

6. Warranty

Unless otherwise stated we provide an extended 9 month/9,000 mile parts and labour warranty.

Parts supplied by the customer do not carry any warranty. See our warranty terms and conditions for more information.

7. Dispute Resolution

We hope there won't be any disputes, but if there are, we'll do our best to resolve them in accordance with the laws of The United Kingdom.

8. Governing Law

These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The United Kingdom.

Warranty Terms and Conditions.

1. Limited Warranty (9 Months / 9,000 Miles)

Coverage: All mechanical repairs performed by us are guaranteed for 9 months or 9,000 miles, whichever occurs first from the date of the invoice. This covers both the replacement of the defective component and the labor required to install it.

Supplier Limitations: We source parts from reputable suppliers. However, if a part fails due to a manufacturing defect, we reserve the right to inspect the vehicle before authorizing a replacement.

Exclusions: This warranty is void if the vehicle has been subjected to misuse, neglect, involvement in an accident, or used for track/off-road purposes.

2. Software, Coding & Remote Programming

Success of Installation: Our warranty for software and programming services is limited to the successful installation and configuration of the data at the time of service.

Hardware Liability: Customers acknowledge that electronic control units (ECUs) and modules can fail during the programming process due to pre-existing internal faults or aging hardware. We are not liable for the cost of replacement hardware unless the failure is a direct result of gross negligence.

Third-Party Overwrites: We are not responsible if the software or coding we provide is overwritten, deleted, or altered by a third party (e.g., a Main Dealer software update). Any subsequent "re-flashing" will be subject to a new labor charge.

3. Customer-Supplied Parts

No Warranty: We do not provide any warranty (Parts or Labor) for components supplied by the customer.

Labor Charges for Failures: If a customer-supplied part is found to be faulty—either immediately upon fitting or later—the customer is liable for the full labor cost of both the initial installation and the subsequent removal/replacement.

4. Second-Hand Components

Warranty Waiver: Where a customer requests or agrees to the fitment of second-hand (used) or reconditioned parts, the standard 9-month warranty is waived.

Second-hand parts are fitted "as is." While we inspect parts for visible defects before installation, we offer no guarantee on their longevity or internal condition.

Should a second-hand part fail, the customer is liable for the labour costs associated with its removal and the installation of a replacement.

5. Claims & Third-Party Work

Right of First Repair: In the event of a suspected warranty failure, the vehicle must be returned to us for inspection and repair.

Unauthorized Repairs: We will not reimburse any costs for parts or labor carried out by another garage or third party without our express, written consent prior to the work being started.

Consequential Loss: Our liability is limited strictly to the repair in question. We do not cover recovery charges, car hire, lost earnings, or damage to other components caused by the failure of a warranted part.

6. Wear and Tear

Standard "wear and tear" items (including but not limited to tires, brake pads, clutches, bulbs, and wiper blades) are excluded from this warranty unless a clear manufacturing defect can be demonstrated within the first 30 days.
